CBS’ “Face the Nation” won in both ratings measurements June 22, leading NBC’s “Meet the Press” by +574,000 total viewers and +128,000 A25-54 viewers. ABC’s “This Week” was third, Univision’s “Al Punto” was fourth and “Fox News Sunday” was fifth.
Fueled by Univision’s coverage of the World Cup, “Al Punto” was again up significantly, growing +40% in total viewers and +20% in the A25-54 demographic compared to the same week last year. “Fox News Sunday” was also up across the board, +5% and +9%, respectively. CBS was up +6 in total viewers -11% in the demo, while “Meet the Press” was -5% and +1% and ABC was -13% and -4%, respectively.
Cable rebroadcasts of “Fox News Sunday” averaged a combined 1,807,000 total viewers and 457,000 A25-54 viewers. Rebroadcasts of “Meet the Press” delivered an additional 715,000 and 353,000 viewers, respectively.
“Face the Nation” is based on the first half-hour only, as the full contiguous hour aired in just 67% of the country. “This Week” was retitled because it aired out of pattern across several markets due to ABC’s coverage of the World Cup. “Al Punto” aired at a special time, also due to Univision’s coverage of the World Cup.
