CBS’ “Face the Nation” was on top July 7, leading NBC’s “Meet the Press” by +80,000 Total Viewers and +21,000 A25-54 viewers. ABC’s “This Week” was in third, with Univision’s “Al Punto” and “Fox News Sunday” trading off for fourth and fifth.
“Al Punto” grew the most year-over-year, up +51% in Total Viewers and +44% in A25-54 viewers. “Fox News Sunday” was up +2% in Total Viewers but down -20% in the demo, while “Face the Nation” (-8% / -10%) and “This Week” (-17% / -21%) were down in both ratings measurements. “Meet the Press” was preempted last year for NBC’s coverage of the Tour de France.
Cable replays of “Fox News Sunday” averaged a combined 2,141,000 Total Viewers and 487,000 viewers in the demo. Rebroadcasts of “Meet the Press” delivered an additional 1,137,ooo Total Viewers and 433,000 A25-54 viewers.
“Face the Nation” is based on the first half-hour only, as the full contiguous hour aired in just 66% of the country.
