NBC’s Meet the Press was the No. 1 Sunday public affairs show last week, topping 4.2 million viewers nationally.
Compared to the same Sunday last year NBC was up +5 percent in viewers but down -2 percent in the demo. CBS’s Face the Nation was down -7 percent in viewers and down -22 percent in the demo; ABC’s This Week was down -20 percent in viewers and down -18 percent in the demo, but it should be noted that this Sunday last year featured an interview with Pres. Obama. Fox News Sunday was down -4 percent in viewers but up +12 percent in the demo.
The Sunday landscape will see a host change in the coming weeks as John Dickerson moves off Face the Nation. He began his new role as co-anchor of CBS This Morning today.
Editor’s Note: Face the Nation’s second half-hour was broadcast contiguously across 59.8% of the CBS affiliates.
