Summer at the Shore for CBS Sunday Morning

By Chris Ariens

Lee Cowan anchors tomorrow’s CBS Sunday Morning from the shore. The broadcast originates from the famed Grey Gardens estate in East Hampton, N.Y. Built in 1897, the home was previously owned by the reclusive relatives of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and recently restored by journalist Sally Quinn.

Also on the broadcast, a real-life treasure hunt in the Rocky Mountains, the last free-standing Howard Johnson’s restaurant, and how kids are caring for sick baby sea lions that have washed up on California beaches. Last Sunday, Sunday Morning drew 5.02 million viewers posting double-digit year-to-year percentage increases.
