CNBC celebrated one of its originals this afternoon: Sue Herera.

The veteran business news journalist and anchor is marking 30 years at CNBC, having joined the network in 1989.

The Power Lunch trio of Tyler Mathisen, Melissa Lee, and Kelly Evans honored Herera on-air, and her longtime on-air partner-in-crime Bill Griffeth was shown wearing an apron and standing behind a big cake, made in her honor.

“Thank you to the viewers for sticking with us for all of those years, and to everybody who’s here,” Herera remarked, touched by the standing ovation she received fron the newsroom, and the on-air video montage.

CNBC celebrates Sue Herera’s 30th anniversary from CNBC.

Herera is presently co-anchor of the CNBC-owned PBS program, Nightly Business Report, which she has been a part of since 2015. Prior to NBR, Herera co-anchored Power Lunch from 2003 – 2015, and has hosted/anchored various other CNBC programming over the years, while serving as a breaking news anchor.
