Still The Source?

By Chris Ariens

A ratings update on the Sunday morning news program… that is about news programs. Reliable Sources with Howard Kurtz has lost 12% of its viewership from the beginning of the 3rd quarter until last Sunday’s show, compared to the same period last year. The show has also lost 31% in the key 25-54 demo.

This past Sunday at 10amET, Reliable Sources had 432,000 total viewers and 97,000 in the demo. FNC’s program about the news, Fox News Watch with Eric Burns, had 864,000 viewers and 213,000 in the demo. Fox News Watch airs Saturdays at 6:30pmET.

>More from an emailer: “Kurtz and Burns do two different shows. Kurtz’ is really a lot of inside baseball which is great if you are in the business. Burns’ show is like a lot of Fox stuff — complaints about the liberal or main stream media. Different broadcast times also play a significant role. 7am on the west coast is a bit early for a lot of folks on a Sunday morning. BTW, I don’t work for either, just a viewer.”
