Some poor New York Times delivery person must have had their morning shows confused, as “Fox & Friends” co-host Steve Doocy ended up with “Today” co-anchor Matt Lauer’s copy of the paper this morning.
Doocy, naturally, wanted to return the paper to its rightful owner, and so he sent a message to Lauer on-air and on Twitter: meet me halfway! The “Fox & Friends” studio is only a couple of blocks from the “Today” studio in midtown Manhattan. Lauer, however, was having none of it.
Hey @Mlauer still holding your NYT, not enough pictures. Will be standing 48th and Sixth Avenue 8:34am LIVE for a paper swap.

@sdoocy bogus story Steve. We saw Kilmeade running from our loading dock!

Video of Kilmeade’s valiant attempt to return the Times, after the jump.
