Stephen Colbert: ‘There’s a Populism to Trump I Found Very Appealing’

In an interview set to air Sunday on CBS’ Face the Nation, The Late Show host Stephen Colbert says of Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump, “I may disagree with anything that he’s saying and think that his proposals are a little…well, more than a little shocking.”

But in the interview with Face the Nation moderator John Dickerson, Colbert concedes “there’s a populism to Trump that I found very appealing. The party elders would like him to go away but the people have decided that he is not going to.”
