Why did the Bancroft family initially reject Rupert Murdoch‘s $5 billion bid for the Wall Street Journal?
This NYT story partially blames Fox News: “Many family members, who take great pride in The Journal’s editorial quality, disdain the work of News Corporation media outlets like the Fox News Channel and The New York Post, which they see as politically slanted and overly devoted to celebrity gossip and crime.”
But the Bancroft family is warming to Murdoch, the Washington Post reports today…
