Shep Smith “says he’d love to do an 11pm newscast for the Fox broadcast network. Fast-paced, of course. ‘It can be an outstanding vehicle,’ he says. Fasten your seat belts.”

Shep promises the newscast “will be fast as lightning.”
> Battaglio quotes “a producer at another network” who says: “He shows you don’t have to be as serious as a heart attack to get the news across.”
> Shep claims that “even his girlfriend doesn’t know his views,” and that he’s not a left-or-right-winger…
