Scarborough Rips Cable News for Covering ‘Nerdprom’ Not ‘Race Riots’

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough knocked his own network, and CNN and Fox News, for failing to cover protests that turned violent Saturday in Baltimore. While parts of the city were for a time on lockdown, the cable networks stuck with live coverage of the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. “Forty miles down the road were race riots. And every news organization decided to stay on what is affectionately called the ‘Nerdprom,'” Scarborough said on “Morning Joe.”
