Savannah Guthrie Becomes Lead Correspondent For Court TV’s D.C. Bureau

Quoting the press release: “Court TV News announced, today, it has appointed Savannah Guthrie as lead correspondent in the network’s new Washington, D.C. bureau. Guthrie, who was previously based in New York and traveled the country covering trials for the network, will now be based in the nation’s capital, reporting on legal and judicial news. Additionally, Court TV News Senior Field Producer Bryan Lavietes has been assigned to the bureau. Both positions are effective immediately.”

> Prior to joining Court TV in January 2004, Guthrie worked in Washington, D.C. as an attorney at a law firm. She also reported for WRC-TV.

> “Lavietes began his career as an intern at Court TV nearly ten years ago and has since worked his way up the ranks to become senior field producer.”
