Pamela Anderson, Jenny McCarthy, Marcia Cross and Colin Firth. Sounds like the story rundown for an Entertainment Tonight show, right?
Nope. According to the Washington Post, it’s a sampling of celebs invited to this Saturday’s White House Correspondents’ Association dinner. “The annual press prom,” write Amy Argetsinger and Roxanne Roberts, “has devolved from an insidery-wonkish night with reporters and sources to stargazing with A-, B- and C-listers with no connection to Washington or politics.”
The celebrity-inclusion trend, of course, is not new — the Post says it all began in 1987, when Iran-Contra’s Fawn Hall was an invitee.
Well, wonkish or star-ish, rain or shine, TVNewser will be at the big event on Saturday, with full coverage and photos for you.
