An insider notes that CNN beat FNC during Sunday’s primetime coverage of the shootings and capture. Among total viewers, CNN averaged 1,158,000 total viewers, compared to FNC’s 1,090,000. CNN also edged FNC in the demo.
CNN had a 0.2 at 7pm and a 0.4 at 8pm, but the network came alive when Nancy Grace appeared on-screen. At 9pm Sunday, LKL (hosted by Nancy Grace) outperformed a special edition of On The Record with Greta Van Susteren in total viewers (1,557,000 vs. 1,082,000) and the 25-54 demo (615,000 vs. 289,000).
At 10pm, the second hour of LKL beat At Large with Geraldo Rivera in total viewers (1,401,000 vs. 1,201,000) and the demo (519,000 vs. 355,000).
