A few days ago, Tim Russert received the wish-well from Fox News. In a NYT interview, the Meet the Press host said “it’s no secret that Fox is on the screen in the White House and on Air Force One.”
But in another interview with the NYT, this time for a White House Letter about the perception of FNC as a “favorite news channel” in the West Wing, Russert “shrugged off any White House coziness with Fox.”
“If that’s what they prefer to watch, so be it,” he said. “It doesn’t detract from what we do. And based on the complaints I get, I know they watch all our programs.”
