> Update: 8:18am: “It’s nice to see Rudi getting back to what she did so well on CNN before she became an anchor for CNN Headline News, reporting,” an e-mailer says. “She’s very good in the field and I can’t wait to see her on Fox!”

> Update: 9:26pm: “Look for Rudi to get the official Fox News welcome on Fox and Friends Thursday morning!,” a tipster says.

Last night I asked if Rudi Bakhtiar was about to resurface at Fox News Channel. This afternoon the network said she is becoming a “general correspondent.”

“Rudi’s experience anchoring and reporting from around the world make her a great asset to Fox,” senior VP Bill Shine said in the announcement.

“During the past decade, Ms. Bakhtiar’s assignments for the CNN news group had included intern, video journalist, segment producer, anchor for CNN Headline News and contributor to prime-time CNN shows,” TV Week writes.
