Rick Santorum ‘Sickened’ by Josh Duggar Molestation Report

Just as advertisers flee the Duggars, politicians who had been close to the 19 Kids and Counting family are also speaking out.

“I was sickened by it. I was just sickened by it,” Rick Santorum told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos about allegations that oldest son Josh Duggar had confessed to inappropriately touching minors when he was a teenager. “I pray for those girls in particular,” Santorum said in an interview that aired on Good Morning America today. “To have gone through that is… just hard to think about.” Santorum had the support of the Duggars in his 2012 presidential campaign.

Former Fox News host and now GOP candidate Mike Huckabee released a statement last week standing by the family: “Josh’s actions when he was an underaged teen are, as he described himself, ‘inexcusable’ but that doesn’t mean ‘unforgivable.'”
