“Red Eye:” “Has Potential,” First Guest Says

Will Leitch, the editor of Deadspin.com, was the first guest on FNC’s premiere of “Red Eye” Tuesday morning.

Leitch was booked on Friday, and he taped his segment around 9pm Monday.

“I think the show has potential. I really like the ‘halftime’ segment,” Leitch said after the taping.

Why? “Because I think Gutfeld is extremely funny, and so are a couple of people he has brought on board.”

I suggested to Leitch that the show is aimed at a young audience, but he didn’t get that impression during the taping.

“It just feels like funny people goofing off,” he said, then added: “But what the hell do I know about TV?”
