As the Pope fought for life on Friday night, CNN had a couple slight wins over Fox News, and MSNBC delivered relatively strong numbers in the 25-54 demographic.
In the 8pm time slot, CNN had a slight win among 25-54’s. At 9pm, CNN had 1 million more households than FNC did. At 10pm, CNN beat FNC in households and the demo.
MSNBC captured a significant chunk of the 25-54 demographic — more than 50% of the network’s viewers were in the coveted demo during most of the evening. An insider called MSNBC’s demo numbers “consistent and strong.” And that’s exactly what the network wants to see. Here are all the numbers:
