Presumptive CNN host Piers Morgan guest-hosted “Live with Regis and Kelly,” this morning, and Kelly Ripa could not help but ask about the situation. Morgan mostly stuck to the same lines that he used during his “Tonight Show” interview last week, saying “I can’t talk about it, I’m afraid.”
Ripa had a different interpretation:
Ripa: “When you say you can’t talk about it, that means ‘You’re in.’ Because if you weren’t in you would say ‘it’s not me, I don’t know what you are talking about.'”
Morgan: “Well It means my lips are unusually sealed for the moment.”
Ripa: “That is a confirmation if ever I have heard one. Consider it confirmed, you heard it here first. Congratulations in advance. Where is the debut party being held?”
At which point Morgan changed the subject.
