Peabodys Announced: Awards for ABC, CBS, CNN

The 67th annual Peabody Award winners were announced today, and news-related awards were split across the board between networks.

ABC News correspondent Bob Woodruff‘s series, “Wounds of War — The Long Road Home for Our Nation’s Veterans,” picked up a Peabody, as did Kimberly Dozier‘s piece for CBS News Sunday Morning, “The Way Home.”

Another CBS News series, 60 Minutes, picked up an award for their story, “The Killings in Haditha,” a Scott Pelley report. CNN picked up another award for Christiane Amanpour‘s “CNN Presents: God’s Warriors.” This was the 11th award for CNN.

The award presentation will be held on June 16 in New York City. NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams serves as master of ceremonies.

> Update: Also winning a Peabody was BBC America and World, for its report, “White Horse Village.”
