Bill O’Reilly took the unusual step of publicly thanking FNC’s advertisers on Wednesday’s Factor. During the most ridiculous item of the day, Bill said:
“As you may know, there are a variety of the nuts running around attacking the FOX News Channel and ‘The Factor’…I would like to thank our sponsors, both on TV and radio, who also ignore the craziness. These companies really deserve a lot of credit. And I hope you notice who is making it possible for FOX News to broadcast, and I hope you will reward our sponsors with your business.
Never in broadcasting history has a news network been so viciously attacked as FNC has been. So please reward our sponsors.”
Was this a random statement by O’Reilly, or did something (or someone) provoke it?
