As the first returns came from the first of three state contests tonight, all three cable news networks were able to call Wisconsin for Sen. John McCain. And within minutes McCain was on the stage in Ohio thanking Wisconsin voters and Mike Huckabee for his “grit.” Still too early to call the Democratic race in Wisconsin.
> MSNBC called Wisconsin for Sen. Obama at 9:18pmET, FNC called it 30 seconds later, CNN called it at 9:22. ABC’s Charles Gibson anchored a special report for ABC stations at 9:22. The cablers aired Sen. Clinton’s speech in Ohio, before switching to the Obama speech live from Houston.
