TVNewser went on the set of “Issues with Jane Velez-Mitchell” Thursday night as the HLN anchor devoted this week’s shows to victims of domestic violence.

Velez-Mitchell, whose book iWant: My Journey from Addiction and Overconsumption to a Simpler, Honest Life, is now out in paperback, is also working on another book Addict Nation, which comes out in February.

Velez-Mitchell, who’s had her show on HLN for two years, is also an advocate for many causes: animal rights, LGBT rights, and environmental issues to name just a few. She told TVNewser “For me, it’s not just about talking about the problem. It’s being a part of the solution.”

The “Issues” anchor was delighted to see our Flip camera.
