On-Screen Changes On CBS Evening News

By Brian

An e-mailer notices: “If you saw Sunday’s CBS Evening News you noticed they’re beginning to use different graphics… probably a precursor to the Couric era. The three main colors are white, black, and red. They use a mix of lower and upper case letters for the bumpers and on full-screen graphics showing data such as gas prices. It looks like they’re keeping the main CBS Evening News logo for now, but I wonder if that will change too. You may remember Rome Hartman saying when Couric was hired that a new studio is on the way too — it’d be their first new one in more than 10 years (!!)”
