The second part of the NYT’s “The Murdochracy” series includes this juicy bit of information:
“When Mr. Murdoch learned that China Central Television, known as CCTV, was struggling to develop a news Web site, he dispatched a team from Fox News to help design and operate one.”
It also includes a long News Corp. statement blasting the series: “The agenda for this unprecedented series is so blatantly designed to further the Times’s commercial self interests — by undermining a direct competitor poised to become an even more formidable competitor — that it would be reckless of us to participate in their malicious assault…”
