ABC’s “Nightline” won the late night race last week in Total Viewers and A25-54 viewers, while NBC’s “Tonight Show with Jay Leno” edged out a win in A18-49 viewers. For the third straight week, “Nightline” was up from the same week last year in Total Viewers (+12%) and A25-54 viewers (+6%). And while Leno and CBS’s “Late Show with David Letterman” were originals last week, “Nightline” saw its largest margin in Total Viewers (+1.133 million) over Letterman in more than 9 months.
ABC’s ratings are based on a 25-minute broadcast, while CBS and NBC are based on approximately :50 minutes (prior to the final national commercial break of each program).
