Catherine Captain has been named general manager of Todayshow.com, the online home of the Today show. Captain will continue on as marketing VP for msnbc.com based in Redmond, Washington. Captain joined the msnbc.com executive team in 2005. Before that she was a marketing executive at USA TODAY. “Consumers love TODAYshow.com because they can access all of the great information from the broadcast and so much more anytime,” Captain says in a press release. “We’ve seen tremendous growth online and I’m honored to build upon this momentum.”

Captain to lead strategic brand extension for online home of America’s favorite morning show

Captain received her master’s degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from Northwestern University and her undergraduate degree in English and Journalism from the University of Iowa.
