TVWeek’s Michele Greppi reports NBCUniversal gave a boost to GE’s bottom line last quarter.

NBCU reported $923 million in profits for the quarter, a 10% increase from Q4 2006. It’s the fifth straight quarter of profit growth for the peacock.

“Entertainment and Information Cable had record ratings and solid earnings growth,” GE Chairman and CEO Jeff Immelt said. “The network continues to improve its programming and cost position.”
