NBC’s Rehema Ellis Presented Columbia Alumni Award

By Chris Ariens

NBC News correspondent Rehema Ellis is one of four graduates of the Columbia Journalism School to be presented a 2011 alumni award.

Ellis, a 1977 graduate of Columbia, has been with NBC News since 1994. She’s covered many major news events of the last 16 years, including 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, all presidential elections and this year’s earthquake in Haiti. In recent years, Ellis, like so many of her colleagues, has become a digital journalist, reporting, writing, shooting, blogging, and tweeting for NBC News platforms.

Ellis will receive her award during alumni weekend in April.
