NBC’s Peter Alexander Accosted by Saudi Security After Shouting Khashoggi Murder Questions at Crown Prince bin Salman

By A.J. Katz

There was a bit of a tense moment today during President Biden’s meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Saudi Arabia. Saudi security personnel “grabbed” NBC News White House Correspondent Peter Alexander as he shouted questions towards the Saudi prince about the murder of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi.

President Biden and bin Salman each gave brief remarks at the start of their meeting. After they spoke, Alexander began shouting to the leaders about Khashoggi, a Saudi-American journalist and critic who was killed and reportedly dismembered inside the Saudi consulate in Turkey on Oct. 2, 2018. It is widely believed that the Saudi crown prince ordered Khashoggi’s murder.
