Starting Thursday, NBC’s Dateline will stream an 11-part digital documentary series, “Conviction,” focusing on the case of a New York State inmate who says he was wrongfully convicted of murder.
In New York today, Bronx district attorney Darcel Clark will petition to have the conviction of Richard Rosario overturned.
The NBC series, reported by Dan Slepian over two years, explores the 1996 murder, and includes interviews with alibi witnesses who Rosario has insisted can prove he was in Florida at the time of the murder, which occurred in New York. NBC says the Bronx district attorney’s office sent investigators last week to interview those witnesses.
The entire series will be available to stream starting tomorrow.
