NBC Nightly News won the evening newscast ratings race again last week. Brian Williams averaged 10.396 million total viewers, compared to Peter Jennings’ 10.030 million and Dan Rather’s 7.531 million. “Season-to-date, ‘Nightly News’ is now topping ABC by a staggering 12% (+1,090,000) in total viewers, compared to just 8% (+810,000) a year ago,” the press release says.
> ABC notes that WNT “ranked #1 in each of the top 10 markets — New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston, San Francisco, Dallas, Washington, DC, Atlanta and Detroit.”
