NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams returned to first place on Wednesday, according to fast national ratings. The CBS Evening News with Katie Couric placed second and ABC came in third. For Sept. 13:
Total viewers: NBC: 8,480,000 / CBS: 8,170,000 / ABC: 7,590,000

“The CBS broadcast finished first in adults 25-54 (up +16%) and adults 18-49 (up +21%), as well as second in total viewers (8.17 million).
Compared to the same night a year ago, the CBS EVENING NEWS increased +19% in total viewers (8.17 million from 6.88 million), while NBC decreased -2% (8.48 million from 8.64 million) and ABC was down -3% in total viewers (7.59 million from 7.84 million).”
