The prestigious RTDNA Edward R. Murrow Awards Gala for 2022 took place Monday night, and you can find the award winner list here.

NBC News/MSNBC grabbed four Murrows this year — notably NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt won the Newscast/TV Network category and NBC News won what many consider the marquee award, Overall Excellence in Network Television.

MSNBC won the Breaking News Coverage/TV Network Category for its “January 6: Siege of the capital special coverage, while MSNBC/Bellingcat’s On Assignment with Richard Engel: Our House. won the News Document/TV Network category.

ABC News won Murrows for both its diversity and its climate coverage; Nightline also scored a Murrow in the Sports Reporting category for its Out of Bounds story. ABC News Radio won a number earned of awards, including the Breaking News category for its Jan. 6 insurrection coverage, top News Series (Accountable), Hard News (Gun Violence in America), Excellence in Sound (Start Here)

CBS Evening News’ On The Road with Steve Hartman won Excellence in Writing. CBS Sunday Morning and 60 Minutes also earned Murrows in the Hard News and Investigative Reporting categories, respectively. Powerhouse CBS News Radio won the Top Newscast (World News Roundup) and Overall Excellence.
