“NBC News Team” Tops TV Week’s “10 Most Powerful”

By SteveK

For the 2nd year in a row, NBC News president Steve Capus occupies the #1 spot in TV Week’s “10 Most Powerful in TV News” list. This time he’s joined at the top by Jeff Zucker, MSNBC’s Phil Griffin and CNBC’s Mark Hoffman as well: “It’s increasingly impossible to separate the parts from the whole at NBC News, so the top spot this year goes to the team led by Jeff Zucker, president and CEO of NBC Universal.”

Although he’s #1 in the ratings, FNC chairman Roger Ailes gets the #2 spot again this year. “The naysayers who thought FNC wouldn’t fare well in an Obama world obviously aren’t old enough to remember just how much the network and its viewers reveled in every Bill Clinton misstep,” writes Elizabeth Jensen.

Off the top 10 list are Bill O’Reilly and Keith Olbermann; on are 60 Minutes EP Jeff Fager and The Huffington Post.
