By Chris Ariens

NBC News calling a changeup in the way it produces this morning’s Pres. Obama news conference. Obama will hold a news conference at 11:30amET in the East Room. Because NBC is carrying Wimbledon semi-finals, NBC’s Brian Williams will anchor a special report on MSNBC. Williams will then anchor a 3-minute nationwide special report for NBC stations at 1:57pm in each time zone.

ABC and CBS will produce a special report for any station that chooses to carry it. For ABC, George Stephanopoulos anchors. On CBS Scott Pelley is in the chair. FNC’s Gregg Jarrett will anchor a “level 2” special report for FOX stations.

Pres. Obama’s last full-blown news conference was in March, when Libya and the potential government shutdown were in the headlines.
