Natalie Morales to Sign Off Today Show, Heads West for Access Hollywood

Natalie Morales‘s last day as co-host of the third hour of the Today show is tomorrow. Her new gig, as co-host of Access Hollywood, has already begun. Morales’s first day as co-host of Access Hollywood Live, the show seen at various times on NBC affiliates, was Tuesday.

“Friday’s my last day, which is starting to hit me now. I’ve been building up to this moment,” Morales told co-host Kit Hoover. “It’s exciting. Change is good, you get to a certain point in your life and you want to experience new things.”

Morales and her family, including her two pre-teen sons and the family dog, will be driving to the West Coast starting Monday. “I grew up moving. I’m an Air Force brat so I think it’s good to rock their world a little bit,” Morales said of the move.

Morales will not be straying too far from the NBC News morning show. In fact, she’ll be a part of the Today show team in Rio, starting August 8, which includes Billy Bush, who is making the reverse move: from Access Hollywood to the Today show.
