Nancy Han, formerly an executive producer at ABC News, will join CBS This Morning as senior producer of the program’s 8 a.m. hour. She will begin on Monday, September 5th.
“Nancy Han is a proven leader with experience in all areas of our business,” said CBS This Morning executive producer Ryan Kadro in a memo to staff on Thursday. “Not only is Nancy whip smart, with thoughtful ideas and insights about the broadcast, she’s also really fun and will fit in so well with the culture we’ve created.”
Han heads to CTM after executive producing ABC News Now, the network’s 24/7 livestreaming digital channel that she helped launch more than 7 years ago. Han also ran ABC News’ early-morning programming, including World News Now and America This Morning.
This move comes as Kadro continues to shake things up on the hard news-focused morning show, which has delivered a 45 percent increase in total viewers over the past 4 years, and saw even more total viewer growth during the July sweeps period.
