MSNBC???: What Will Happen To Imus?

By Brian

Amid the changes at MSNBC, an e-mailer wonders: “What will happen to Imus in the Morning?” Don Imus started hosting his radio show from Secaucus last year.

Yesterday a tipster alleged that Imus’s cable deal wasn’t being renewed, but a spokesperson called that “completely untrue.”

According to Steve Capus, the Imus issue is an unanswered question.

“I met with Don Imus this morning about his show,” Capus told TV Week on Wednesday. “We literally are working out how we are going to do this. We have looked at so many options.”

> Update: 3:12pm: “Imus talked a bit about this morning while I was listening,” an e-mailer says. “He said it didn’t make any difference to him if had to drive to the CNBC studios or if his show was broadcast out of 30 Rock. To him, it was just a ride in the limo either way, which to me indicated that he still intends to stick around at MSNBC for awhile…”
