Following Thursday’s NY Post report that NBC and Microsft are in “advanced discussions” about giving NBC full control of MSNBC, executives overseeing the MSNBC.com business sent an e-mail to employees to “quell concerns.” According to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, Erik Jorgensen, MSN general manager for interactive media, said speculation about MSNBC cable “has no bearing on the relationship or continued commitment to win with MSNBC Interactive.” MSNBC.com general manager Charlie Tillinghast added: “The bottom line is that we are doing great, we are strategic to both NBC and Microsoft, and both parents want to do everything they can to support us.”
