Morning Show Ratings: Week of Sept. 16 & Q3 2013

In addition to winning the season, “Good Morning America” also wins the week and the just-finished 3rd quarter, all while growing its audience.

Compared to the same week last year, “GMA” is up +16% in viewers and up +9% in the A25-54 demo. The ABC program increased its Total Viewer lead over No. 2 “Today” by +17%.

The good news for “Today:” a year after seeing double-digit drops, the NBC porgram experienced double digit growth. “Today” was up +16% in total viewers and up +21% in the demo compared to the same week last year. “CBS This Morning” also showed growth: +14% / +3%.

The averages for the week of September 16:

  • Total Viewers: ABC: 5.300M / NBC: 4.612M / CBS: 2.770M
  • A25-54 viewers: ABC: 1.970M / NBC: 1.884M / CBS: 998K

The averages for Q3 2013:

  • Total Viewers: ABC: 5.221M / NBC: 4.445M / CBS: 2.710M
  • A25-54 viewers: ABC: 1.887M / NBC: 1.783M / CBS: 907K
