Morning Show Ratings: Week of Sept. 11

Among the three broadcast network morning show, only CBS This Morning saw viewer growth last week compared to the same week last year.

CTM, which remains in third place behind ABC’s Good Morning America and NBC’s Today show, was up +6 percent in viewers last week.

GMA, which was most-watched, and Today, which was No. 1 in the A25-54 demo, were each down -4 percent.

GMA has now been No. 1 for 5 years, though it did slip behind the Today show last week among total viewers. Today remains No. 1 among younger viewers, winning its 90th week in a row.

Nielsen has cautioned the networks that due to Hurricane Irma and inconsistent viewing pattern, revisions are a possibility.

The averages for the week of Sept. 11, 2017:

  • Total Viewers: ABC: 4.304M / NBC: 4.092M / CBS: 3.528M
  • A25-54 viewers: ABC: 1.420M / NBC: 1.522M / CBS: 926K
