CBS This Morning might be stuck in third place, but it’s the only morning show that continues to improve from its 2015 averages, while ABC and NBC are seeing year-over-year declines.
CTM delivered year-over-year growth in all of the key categories for the week of October 17, including total viewers (+8 percent), A25-54 (+14 percent), women 25-54 (+11 percent) and women 18-49 (+17 percent).
Good Morning America remains the No. 1 morning show in total audience, but was down -7 percent in total viewers and down -8 percent in the news demo compared to the same week in 2015. Despite another year-over-year decline, GMA narrowed its margin with Today in the demo to its closest finish in nearly 3 months (week of July 25, 2016).
Today remains at the top of the morning show heap in the A25-54 demo, but was down -3 percent in both the demo and total audience from the comparable week last year.
