Morning Show Ratings: Week of Nov. 3

By SteveK

NBC’s Today show was the top rated broadcast morning show during the week of the presidential election, with an average of nearly six million Total Viewers. The day after the election, NBC had its highest single-day Total Viewer delivery since December 9, 2005 (excluding Katie Couric’s final telecast as co-anchor). ABC’s Good Morning America finished second, posting its highest Total Viewer delivery since the week of February 25, 2008.

CBS’ The Early Show has grown the most of any broadcast year-to-year, up 8% in Total Viewers (compared to 2% gain for NBC and 4% loss for ABC) and 10% in the A25-54 demo (NBC and ABC showed no change).

All three broadcasts were up week-to-week in both Total Viewers and the demo.
