Morning Show Ratings: Week of Nov. 14

morning-tv-tvnewser_2016ABC and NBC’s morning news shows posted year-over-year declines this past week in the key categories. CBS once again ranked No. 3, but delivered year-over-year growth and continues to creep closer to its competition.

Good Morning America ranked No. 1 in total audience this past week, but was -8 percent from the same week in 2015. The program was also -15 percent in the news demo. Nevertheless, GMA ranks No. 1 in total audience for the 5th consecutive season.

Today ranked No. 1 among A25-54 this past week, and has now defeated its broadcast morning news competition in the demo for 63 of the past 64 weeks. Today also won in both total viewers and A25-54 on Monday. That said, Today was -7 percent in total viewers and -12 percent in the key news demo when compared with the same week last year.

CBS This Morning delivered year-to-year gains among total viewers (+8 percent), adults 25-54 (+7 percent) and daytime’s key demo of women 25-54 (+10 percent). The show is up +6 percent in total viewers, +13 percent in adults 25-54, and +22 percent in women 25-54 this season to-date.

  • Total Viewers: ABC:  4.763 M / NBC:  4.664 M / CBS:  3.838 M
  • A25-54 viewers: ABC:  1.498 M / NBC:  1.767 M / CBS:  1.111 M
