Morning Show Ratings: Week of March 16

morning show anchors_640“CBS This Morning” continues its momentum in the morning. With numbers for the week of March 16, “CTM” is the only breakfast show to see total viewer gains (+7%).

While growth is good, “CTM” remains in third place behind No. 1 “GMA” and No. 2 “Today.” ABC continues to see its largest season margin over NBC in the A25-54 demo in 23 years — since the 1991-92 season. Meanwhile, “Today” can boast that it closed the total viewer gap with “GMA” by 20% versus the prior week.

Compared to the same week last year “CTM” is up +6% in viewers, while “Good Morning America” and the “Today” show are down -8% and -9%, respectively. All three programs are down in the younger demo.

  • Total Viewers: ABC: 5.235M / NBC: 4.659M / CBS: 3.247M
  • A25-54 viewers: ABC: 1.947M / NBC: 1.801M / CBS: 966K
