Morning Show Ratings: Week of June 26

“NBC News’ Today still dominated the ratings during the week that Charlie Gibson said goodbye to GMA,” an NBC press release says. GMA beat Today by 660,000 total viewers during Wednesday’s goodbye to Charlie. But it wasn’t enough to top NBC for the week. The gap between NBC and ABC stands at 646,000 total viewers. For the week of June 26:

Total viewers: NBC: 5,450,000 / ABC: 4,810,000 / CBS: 2,190,000

25-54 demo: NBC: 2,680,000 / ABC: 2,170,000 / CBS: 860,000

Households: NBC: 4.3/16 / ABC: 3.8/14 / CBS: 1.8/7

> Also: Friday’s Today, with Star Jones, delivered 6 million viewers. It was Today’s largest advantage over GMA (excluding Katie’s last day and the Olympics) since March 2004…

> Update: 3:25pm: “For the fourth consecutive week, GMA has continued to close the gap with Today among Total Viewers,” ABC’s press release noted. “Last week, only 640,000 Total Viewers separated ABC and NBC, the smallest gap between the two programs since the week of November 21, 2005…”
