Correction: 12:14am: Last week, the gap between NBC and ABC stood at 614,000 viewers. (Earlier, this post said the gap was at 400,000 viewers. That was in the 25-54 demo.) This is the fifth consecutive week GMA has closed the gap with Today, ABC says. But it was an unusual ratings week: Because of the July 4 holiday, Monday and Tuesday’s ratings weren’t included in the weekly average. Season-to-date, Today is the only morning show “to increase its total audience,” NBC notes. For the week of July 3:
Total viewers: NBC: 5,020,000 / ABC: 4,400,000 / CBS: 2,190,000
25-54 demo: NBC: 2,390,000 / ABC: 1,990,000 / CBS: 840,000
