By A.J. Katz

ABC Good Morning America was the most-watched morning show for the week, averaging 4.28 million total viewers and more than 1.3 million A25-54 viewers, the show’s 2nd-best delivery of the broadcast season to-date.

This comes one week after NBC’s Today finished No. 1 across the board.

GMA also managed to close its year-over-year gap in the key A25-54 demo vs. Today by 26 percent, and it remains the No. 1 morning news program in total viewers for 7 seasons running.

However, the ABC morning show was -5 percent in total viewers, and -10 percent in A25-54 viewers vs. the comparable week in 2018.

NBC’s Today show ranked No. 1 among adults 25-54 for the 160th consecutive week. Win No. 160 marks the NBC morning show’s best streak in more than 6 years.

Similar to its ABC counterpart, Today was down vs. the comparable week one year ago, -7 percent in total viewers, and -12 percent in the key A25-54 demo.

CBS This Morning was -16 percent in total viewers, and -19 percent in A25-54 viewers vs. the same week a year ago. On a positive note, the show was up in viewership from the previous week. So, at least there’s that!
